Why can't I access this article / e-book?

Answer

Consider the questions below and if nothing works please contact us.

  • When you try to access the item do you see the regular BGU login page?  If not, the Library may not subscribe to the resource in question, or you may be trying to access a resource in a way that doesn't recognise you as a BGU student*. This can happen if you use a search engine instead of library tools like WorldCat or A-Z Databases (links below). Try searching for the resource in WorldCat - if you can't find it, it is likely that our Library does not subscribe to the resource in question.  If you would like us to double-check for you, drop us a line with the details of the resource you are trying to access and we'll take a look.
  • Are you using the correct username and password? You should use your full email address and the same password as you use for BGU email.
  • If you can login OK but get an error message when you try to open the item there may be a technical problem: please contact us (including details of what you are trying to access) and we will investigate the problem for you.

*To help with this, we recommend installing our LibKey Nomad browser extension (link below). When searching the web, LibKey Nomad displays an (article level) onscreen alert anytime you come across a journal article the Library provides access to. You can then click on the alert to login and open the article.
