Changes were made to the University's password management system in January 2020 by IT Services, and were publicised in advance via the Portal. If you did not take action at the time, this may be why you are experiencing difficulties.

If you can’t access your library account or library resources please do the following:             

  • If you have previously signed up to the University’s Password Reset Service, use the service to reset your password at NB. Your 'user ID' is your full BGU email address.
  • If you have not previously signed up to the University’s Password Reset Service sign-up at and you will be then be able to reset your password.

If working on campus, you will also need to reset the WiFi (Eduroam) details on any mobile devices you have.

Once reset, access to library resources should work as before and thereafter your BGU password will need changing every 6 months (you will receive an email reminder 2 weeks in advance). If, after resetting your password you are still having difficulty, try using a different browser as the one you routinely use may have have cached (stored) your old password.
