You are welcome to bring any lidded drink into the Library, even hot drinks (there’s a coffee machine in the building foyer).
You can’t bring food into the Library, but there are a couple of café tables in the building foyer where you can sit and eat.
The reason we don't allow food inside the Library is simple - to keep the building as clean and welcoming as possible. After all, who wants to study at a greasy keyboard, next to a stained carpet, with the lingering smell of an egg sandwich that was eaten two hours ago?
