What is LibKey Nomad and how do I install it?

Answer

It's easy to access full-text articles off-campus using search tools like WorldCat or A-Z Databases because they are designed to recognise you as a BGU student and prompt you to login with your BGU credentials. But what about search tools that don't recognise you as a BGU student, like Google or Bing? One way is to copy article details into WorldCat to see if the Library provides access, but a much more effective way is to use LibKey Nomad.

LibKey Nomad displays an onscreen alert (like the one below) any time you come across an article on the web that the Library provides access to, thus preventing you from missing out on potentially useful resources. By clicking on the alert you can login and access the article.

LibKey Nomad is a browser extension that works in conjunction with our journal browsing tool BrowZine. You have to install LibKey Nomad yourself, but it's very easy - simply follow the step-by-step instructions below.
