We ask that you only use acetates purchased in the library in BG printers.  The library sells two types of acetate - a standard acetate for black and white printing and a paper-backed acetate for colour printing.

For black and white printing, at your computer go to File - Print Printer Properties, click on the Basic tab, and under Paper Tray select Bypass Tray and under Paper Type select Transparency.  Now send the job to print, go to your nearest printer, and login.  On the console press the Paper tab and select the bypass tray (look for the hand icon).  Now press Change Tray Settings and select Transparency before placing your acetate in the bypass tray and releasing the print job. Don't forget to change the settings back to normal before you logout.

For colour printing, at your computer go to File - Print - Printer Properties, click on the Basic tab, and under Paper Tray select Bypass Tray.   Now send the job to print (there is no need to change the Paper Type when using a paper-backed acetate).  Now send the job to print, go to your nearest printer, and login.  On the console press the Paper tab and select the bypass tray (look for the hand icon).  Place your acetate in the bypass tray and release the print job.  Don't forget to change the bypass tray back to normal before you logout.
